Don't Stopp Believin wins Mercuria

Good things come in twos.

 

The 2018 All American Quarter Horse Congress Mercuria NCHA World Series of Cutting and Bridleless Cutting winners follow the saying.

 

In the Mercuria NCHA World Series of Cutting, Don’t Stopp Believin scored 226 points in both the Open and the Non-Pro Finals, securing him the two championship titles. The 7-year-old stallion owned and shown by Phil and Mary Rapp of Weatherford, Tex. won $21,369 from the Finals, boosting his earnings to over $400,000.

 

Tatum Rice on Hashtags, owned by Hashtag Ventures LP, earned second in the Open with a 222 and Gabe Reynolds on Ettafied, owned by Shaun O’Hearn, took third with a 214.

 

In the Non-Pro, second place was a 221 by Lauren Middleton on Sweet Reyvenge and third place a 220 by Mary Jo Milner on Little Pepto Cat.

 

Zoe Woodland, the 2017 Bridleless Cutting Open Champion, returned for a second title but this time with no saddle or bridle on Peptos Instant Style, owned by Abby Prachar.

 

Taking second in the Bridleless Open was Airiel Sbarra on SDP Royal Lineage, owned by Karl Jenkins, with a 217 and third was Matt Williams on Too Badger Not Me, owned by Brandi Orlando, with a 199.

 

For the Brideless Non-Pro, Michael Bowman and Big Daddys CD, owned by Libby Bowman, claimed the championship title with a score of 221.

 

A 216 by Sandra Patton on Magic Abbie earned second and Joselyn Pilcher on CR Smart Boonsmal, owned by Dave Pilcher, claimed third with a 212.
