As many of us know, the All American Quarter Horse Congress has many fantastic equine athletes, but for one night at the Congress, on October 14th, there are some pretty impeccable bovine athletes performing as well. On this date, the PBR Touring Pro comes to Columbus, Ohio for great fans, bulls, and bull riders.
An Ohio-based company; Buckin' Ohio is located in Burbank. Creekbend Ranch, home of Buckin' Ohio operates with a cattle herd of 170 head on 150 acres of land. From this little Ohio ranch, talented bulls such as Brown Town, Blue Hurricane, Love Potion, and Kaplow's Tooth Fairy have been produced. What makes these bulls such successful athletes is their ability to kick, spin, and buck. These bull are genetically bred and trained to buck. While it may seem hard to understand, these 2,000 pound powerful athletes get treated with the utmost care and tender touch. They are fed to keep them in prime condition, their pedicures occur more often than some women, and their horns are tipped to ensure safety for both, themselves and the riders.
If you have never had the opportunity to experience the sport of bull riding, I encourage you to come out to the Congress on October 14th to watch these incredible athletes buck on the PBR Touring Pro. For ticket information, visit http://www.quarterhorsecongress.com. If you know you cannot make the October Bull riding, the two time SEBRA Stock Contractor of the year, Creekbend Ranch, hosts monthly rides. Information about the monthly bull ridings can be found at https://buckinohio.com. When at a bull riding it is kind of hard to figure out who you are cheering for. While we do like to see 8 second rides, it is great to see the other athletes excel too.
